Featured MVNO: Best Cellular

Featured MVNO: Best Cellular

As far as mobile virtual network operators and prepaid wireless service providers go, one can argue that Best Cellular has put itself in a good position to allow its customers to experience the best of all worlds. The company had began as a multi-carrier MVNO that mobile users can head to if they want to bring their own device (BYOD) and be able to choose between plans that connect to Verizon Wireless’, AT&T’s, or Sprint’s network. But ever since adding T-Mobile’s network to its mobile coverage in April of 2016, Best Cellular’s customers now can get connected to all four national carriers in America.

Background

When the carrier was founded around half a decade ago, it had a different brand name -- Boss Cellular. Last year, however, it began to use the Best Cellular brand after finally buying the BestCellular.com domain name. Heading into the new year, the mobile operator still has its headquarters in the same Colorado town (Hotchkiss, population: less than a thousand) where it opened its first ever retail outlet, and continues to strike new partnerships with dealers and launch even more retail store locations across the United States.

Plans & Offerings

One can argue that Best Cellular’s range of wireless services essentially covers just about everything. Best of all, the fact that it continues to offers no-contract mobile plans allows its customers to enjoy as much flexibility as possible, in terms of costs, and being able to bring one’s device. And lest we forget, the company remains true to its one of its core values of not charging users when they activate or configure their handsets, or port their contact numbers to the carrier. Moreover, there aren’t, and never will be, any hidden fees.

Best Cellular’s prepaid rate plans are categorized into four basic types according to which national carrier network is used -- there’s the CDMA plans (Verizon Wireless), GSM-A plans (AT&T), GSM-T plans (T-Mobile), and PCS plans (Sprint). For customers who are looking to get a plan for their family, they might want to check out the MVNO’s prepaid family plans. Just like in individual prepaid plans, the carrier’s prepaid family plans allow users to bring in their own devices for their kids or other family members to use.

For enterprise owners, they may be glad to know that Best Cellular also has prepaid business phone plans that they can avail of. Those who sign up are free to get additional lines of service or remove existing lines whenever they want to. Under these business plans, customers can also restrict text messaging, data access, or other inclusions, like international calling or WiFi calling.

Speaking of which, Best Cellular also has pinless international calling, which as an add-on service, can be activated by subscribers by getting a cash card, which never expires. International long distance calling credits can even be shared to other handsets or landline phones. As for WiFi calls, the MVNO offers this through its mVOIP WiFi Calling feature. Phone calls, whether local or international, can be made through a WiFi connection, which is significantly cheaper as compared to using a cellular network.

We are getting closer and closer to realizing a world of the Internet of Things, and Best Cellular is helping in taking us there by fully embracing IoT. It is offering its prepaid cellular IoT rate plans to developers who are working on creating IoT solutions. Interested developers can either avail of individual IoT rate plans, or sign up for large scale accounts that can handle hundreds or thousands of IoT-driven gadgets. Best Cellular also happens to sell prepaid cellular M2M rate plans, with business owners allowed to avail of data only plans.

Of course, for those who want to fully customize their plans, Best Cellular can help with their needs through its custom rate plans.
