TextNow Wireless Debuts Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, International Calling
Mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) TextNow Wireless presents a couple of treats for its customers. Firstly, the wireless carrier is now selling one of Samsung’s flagship devices, the Galaxy S6 Edge, for a price of only $299.99 refurbished. And secondly, the mobile service provider is also launching its free international calling service.
TextNow Wireless customers can now purchase the 32 gigabyte edition of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone either in black, white, or gold options. The Galaxy S6 Edge was unveiled along with the Galaxy S6 back in March of last year, during the 2015 Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain. This device has the distinction of possessing a display screen that curves towards both of its sides, making for a truly sleek and stylish experience, and it is quite useful too (the curved side can display notifications for the mobile user’s quick viewing).
Apart from its unique display screen design, the Galaxy S6 Edge also delivers in other areas. For one, the 5.1 inch display screen it sports is of SUPER AMOLED variety, and it is complemented excellently with a 16 megapixel camera on the rear side as well as a 5 megapixel camera on the front side. Inside its slick exterior design, the Galaxy S6 Edge boasts a 64 bit Exynos 7420 eight core chip set, supported adequately by 3 gigabytes of random access memory (RAM), and internal memory of 32 gigabytes. As far as software specifications are concerned, the device comes with Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Galaxy S6 Edge’s features include Samsung Pay, a fingerprint reader, heart rate monitoring capabilities, quick charging, and power saving. Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge usually has a retail price of about $680, so the less than three hundred bucks price offered by TextNow Wireless is truly a win for its customers.
Not only content with offering a new flagship device from Samsung, TextNow Wireless is also launching its international calling feature. The really cool thing about this service is that it is made available to all customers, absolutely free of charge. International calling has been previously available in beta mode for Android and iOS smartphone owners, but now TextNow Wireless has decided to deploy it to customers, who can now make free voice calls to landline phone numbers in the following countries: Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
All smartphone plans offered by TextNow Wireless come with no contracts, and customers will not billed overages when going over their monthly fast data caps. Instead, they have the option of either upgrading to a bigger plan, or just go for 2G data until their billing cycle resets.
