One of the most exciting developments in television programming is the rise of high definition stations that specialize in an almost infinite array of possible entertainment offerings. Many such stations are premium stations which are available at a fee, although some high quality local HDTV programming is available for free, depending upon where you live and who your provider is. 

HDTV requires satellite equipment such as a dish and receivers, but often these can be had at little or no cost as part of promotional offers. A complete listing of available programing is impossible to provide, and in any case would become quickly outdated because of the constant arrival of new offerings.
