US Mobile Makes Changes To Voice, Data Pricing Structure

US Mobile is a T-Mobile mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that lets its customers create their own wireless smartphone plans. Just this week, US Mobile offers another reason for its customers to be happy about. The carrier has made adjustments to the pricing structure of its voice call and data usage tiers. On top of that, US Mobile is also introducing new additions to its existing pricing tiers. The specific adjustments are as follows:

• 1 gigabyte of data priced at $15 is now available for $14
• The 2 gigabytes of data plan for $25 has now been boosted to 2.5 gigabytes of data at the same price
• A new 5 gigabytes of data plan at $45 has been introduced
• 250 minutes of voice calls priced at $7 is now available for $5
• 1,000 minutes of voice calls priced at $15 is now available for $10
• 200 minutes of voice calls priced at $25 is now available for $15

The complete pricing structure of US Mobile’s voice calls, text messaging, and data usage tiers is now:

Voice calls:

• 100 minutes at $3
• 250 minutes at $5
• 500 minutes at $9
• 1,000 minutes at $10
• 2,000 minutes at $15

Text messages:

• 100 text messages at $2
• 250 text messages at $3
• 500 text messages at $4
• 1,000 text messages at $5
• Unlimited text messages at $7

Data usage:

• 100 megabytes of data at $2
• 250 megabytes of data at $5
• 500 megabytes of data at $9
• 1 gigabyte of data at $14
• 2.5 gigabytes of data at $25
• 5 gigabytes of data at $45

Customers are free to make adjustments to their tiers at the end of a 30 day period. It should be noted that a monthly charge for the line of service amounting to $2 is added to the bill. Also, the prices listed above do not take into account taxes and fees that customers may be charged depending on where they are based. And if customers ever find themselves wanting more (i.e. they have underestimated their usage needs on a given month), they can always opt to avail of more temporary add-ons. These add-ons are good to last for 30 days from the time of purchase -- they do not expire at the end of a given month, but can overlap between two 30 day periods.
