Verizon’s new Just Kids plan is made for kids
Parents have a reason to celebrate today with Verizon’s latest news.
Earlier today, Big Red announced that they will be offering a new smartphone plan designed specifically for kids. According to the announcement, the plan will be available later in the week.
The new plan, called Just Kids, comes with unlimited talk and text to the 20 contacts pre-approved by the parents. The plan also comes with 5GB of 4G LTE data, with 480p video streaming. Once the threshold has been reached, the data speed is switched to 2G. There is also a safety mode feature that ensures the data limit is not exceeded.
In addition to this, the plan includes Verizon’s Smart Family Premium feature. Regularly, this feature costs an extra $10/month. This allows parents to keep tabs on their child’s smartphone usage and location.
Users can add Just Kids to an existing family plan. However, Verizon shares that the Just Kids plan is only eligible for users under their Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, or Above Unlimited plan.
