The People’s Operator Introduces New Infinity Unlimited Plan
Mobile virtual network operator The People’s Operator is debuting a new rate plan called Infinity, and it offers customers unlimited data for as low as $55 a month. Those who are interested must note a few things though. For one, the Infinity unlimited plan is only made available to customers who possess CDMA compatible mobile devices. In other words, the new rate plan only applies to users who have a Verizon Wireless, Sprint, or prepaid smartphone via one of their respective mobile services. For those who do not have qualified handsets, they will have to buy a new one in order to avail of the MVNO’s newest offer.
Moreover, customers should remember that the new Infinity unlimited plan typically costs $59.99, but can go down as low as $55 if the customer enrolls in the automatic payment option. Also, note that the Auto Pay credit is applied immediately on a monthly basis as long as the user agrees every month to let TPO Mobile process his payment automatically.
As for heavy data users, they may not be happy to know that if they breach the 50 gigabyte threshold, their Infinity unlimited plan will cap its 4G LTE connection speeds. This means that for the remainder of their billing cycle, they will experience throttled and slower speeds if they consume more than 50 gigabytes per month.
Still, TPO Mobile’s new offering and existing plans seem to be worth checking out. And due to the fact that the MVNO makes use of the same networks being utilized by tier one providers, those who avail of TPO Mobile’s plans can pretty much expect more or less the same coverage. And of course, that extra feeling of doing something good can not compare with other carriers (TPO Mobile donates a certain percentage of the monthly bill to a charity chosen by the customer).
For reference, these are TPO Mobile’s current unlimited data plans:
-
Caring plan -- $17.50 a month ($20 a month without Auto Pay credit), already includes unlimited voice calls, unlimited text messaging, and 3 gigabytes of data
-
Hero plan -- $50 a month ($55 a month without Auto Pay credit), already includes unlimited voice calls, unlimited text messaging, and 5 gigabytes of data
-
Infinity plan -- $54.99 a month ($59.99 a month without Auto Pay credit), already includes unlimited voice calls, unlimited text messaging, and unlimited data, exclusive to owners of CDMA compatible mobile devices
