Samsung rolls out new feature to protect devices from attacks via messaging apps
Samsung earlier released a new security feature that aims to protect Samsung Galaxy S23 devices.
The new feature, called Message Guard, helps protect these devices from zero-click attacks that are delivered in the form of an image in messages. The feature works by intercepting incoming images before they even reach apps like Samsung Messages and Messages by Google. As a result, these files are inspected before an attack can be made.
When Message Guard ensures that the file does not contain anything that can infect the device, the image becomes available for viewing on the app.
As revealed by PhoneScoop, the South Korean manufacturer aims to roll out the feature to other Galaxy phones and third-party messaging apps later this year.
