Earlier this week, Verizon Wireless announced that its 5G Ultra Wideband network has reached a milestone– they now cover over 200 million people.
On its press release, Big Red shared that the network now covers “two out of every three Americans.”
Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network is made up of its mmWave and mid-band frequencies; which complement each other. Even though mmWave is able to offer faster speeds, its coverage is still limited at this point.
Luckily, Verizon plans to change this in the future as it continues to add more bandwidth to its mid-band 5G network. You can read more about the announcement here.
