Verizon expands 5G service to more cities this January
Verizon is starting the year with more 5G network expansions in the country.
As revealed by Big Red, they will be expanding coverage of their 5G Home Internet service to Arlington, TX, Miami, FL, San Francisco, CA, Anaheim, CA, and St. Louis, MO starting January 14. On January 28, Phoenix, AZ customers will also gain access to their very fast home internet service.
The wireless carrier also revealed that their customers in Colorado Springs, CO, Columbia, SC, and Knoxville, TN will be able to access their 5G Ultra Wideband service before the end of January.
Customers who were able to access their Nationwide 5G service now also have access to 5G Ultra Wideband service, which is a much faster experience.
In 2020, Verizon was able to cover 2,700 cities with its Nationwide 5G service, which served 230 million people. Its Ultra Wideband service covers 61 cities while its 5G Home service serves 12 cities.
