Google Fi customers who are using an Apple iPhone device received some good news earlier this week. They can now connect to 5G on their devices instead of LTE. This means that they’ll have access to T-Mobile’s 5G network since Google Fi is a T-Mobile MVNO.
Apart from using an iPhone, the requirement for this is that your device should be running on the latest iOS 16.4 update. You also need to have an iPhone 12 device or a newer model since these are the only devices that come with 5G connectivity.
If you are a Google Fi user with an iPhone, you will need to switch 5G on to be able to access the network. This can be completed by going to Settings > Cellular Data Options > Voice and Data > select 5G Auto.
