Samsung will discontinue S Voice service soon
Long before Samsung introduced Bixby, there was S Voice, its personal assistant. A new report, however, shows that Samsung will soon be discontinuing its S Voice assistant.
According to SamMobile, Samsung will no longer be carrying the service starting June 1st. The report says that if you try to use the service after that date, you’ll receive a “I’m unable to process your request. Try again later.” response.
The shutdown of this service will affect older Galaxy models that included S Voice upon launch. Among the devices that will be affected are the following:
-
Samsung Galaxy A3
-
Samsung Galaxy A5
-
Samsung Galaxy A7
-
Samsung Galaxy A8
-
Samsung Galaxy A9
-
Samsung Galaxy Note 2
-
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
-
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
-
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
-
Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2
-
Samsung Galaxy S3 series
-
Samsung Galaxy S4 series
-
Samsung Galaxy S6 series
-
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4
-
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.8
-
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
-
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.4
-
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10.5
It makes sense why Samsung decided to discontinue the service, considering Bixby can pretty much do what S Voice does (and so much more). Will you miss this service?
