Verizon shutting down Yahoo Mobile prepaid brand
Verizon recently sold its media business division. And along with this sale is their Yahoo Mobile prepaid brand. As a result, Verizon has revealed that it will be shutting down the Yahoo Mobile network in a few months.
Along with its announcement, Verizon informed its Yahoo Mobile customers that they will have until August 31st to transfer their number to another carrier. After June 16th, customers may renew for one more month. But after that, they will be losing their service.
Verizon has set up an official FAQ page that answers customers’ questions about the network shut down. They are also encouraging customers to switch to another Verizon prepaid brand, Visible.
