Prepaid Double Data Deals To Check Out
Double data deals are aplenty these days. Indeed, major wireless carriers like AT&T and Verizon Wireless are offering them to their respective customers and to anyone willing to shift to a better deal. Well, who wouldn't be interested in a plan that offers twice the data?
But those deals offered by major carriers may still be a bit pricey, especially for those who are on a tight budget. The good news is there are several prepaid service providers and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) that offer also double data deals on far cheaper costs. In this post, let us go through each of them.
Boost Mobile
Boost Mobile, a prepaid brand of Sprint, had launched its Data Boost plans a couple of months back. In Boost Mobile's offer, customers get to enjoy double the data for a reduced price (lower by $5) each month. The Data Boost promo was supposed to end last Monday, but the prepaid service provider has decided to extend it until January 5th next year.
The Data Boost plans are as follows:
- $35 monthly -- 1 gigabyte of high speed data (previously only 500 megabytes), plus unlimited calls and text messaging
- $45 monthly -- 5 gigabytes of high speed data (previously only 2.5 gigabytes), plus unlimited calls and text messaging
- $55 monthly -- 10 gigabytes of high speed data (previously only 5 gigabytes), plus unlimited calls and text messaging
Cricket Wireless
Like Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, the prepaid arm of AT&T, is also extending its double data deal. First offered in September, Cricket Wireless's plans are as follows:
- $40 monthly (Basic Plan) -- 1 gigabyte of high-speed data, plus unlimited calls and text messaging
- $50 monthly (Smart Plan) -- 3 gigabytes of high-speed data, plus unlimited calls and text messaging, and unlimited international texts
- $60 monthly (Pro Plan) -- 10 gigabytes of high-speed data, plus unlimited calls and text messaging, and unlimited international texts
GoSmart
T-Mobile's prepaid brand GoSmart is also joining in on the fun. GoSmart is has increased the 3G data available on its monthly no-contract plans. Although GoSmart is offering them for only a limited time, the plans are as follows:
- $35 monthly -- 1 gigabyte of 3G data, plus unlimited calls and text messaging
- $40 monthly -- 6 gigabytes of 3G data, plus unlimited calls and text messaging
- $45 monthly -- 10 gigabytes of 3G data, plus unlimited calls and text messaging
