T-Mobile Adding Hulu on Us Perk to Select Users, Changes T-Mobile on Us Perk
T-Mobile has unveiled some changes to its free perks this week. The announcement comes in the form of a new streaming service added to the perks and a change in one of the perks it offers. Let’s start with the good news.
Hulu on Us
This week, the Un-carrier revealed that they will now be offering a free Hulu subscription to its Go5G Next subscribers.
The subscription will allow them to save $7.99 per month on a Hulu monthly subscription. Of course, this is still on top of the other perks offered by the Un-carrier, such as Netflix, Apple TV+, and a yearly subscription to a season-long MLB.TV.
All in all, these services will allow you to save $35 per month or a total of $400 per year.
T-Mobile on Us
Now it’s time for the bad news.
T-Mobile will no longer offer Netflix Basic to all of its subscribers. Instead, they will be moved to Netflix Standard with Ads.
While this also means you get 1080p content quality instead of 720p quality that the Netflix Basic plan provides, your streaming service will now include ads. Another advantage that you get from this change is that it will now allow you to stream on two devices simultaneously instead of just one. But again, you will have to go through the ads before you can get back to watching your movie or TV show.
One way you can work around this is to upgrade to a Netflix Standard of Netflix Premium plan, which will cost you an extra $8.50 or $16 per month.
As revealed by The Mobile Report, these two changes will be implemented starting January 24, 2024.
