Mobile World Congress 2015 welcomed a number of new smartphones and tablets in the market. During this event, Microsoft announced their latest Lumia 640 model as one of the devices to look forward to this year. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM. The native storage capacity of the phone is at 8GB, with an option to expand up to 128GB with the use of a microSD card. The phone currently runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS but is set for an upgrade to Windows 10 soon. It is equipped with an 8MP rear-facing camera with dynamic flash and HD video recording capability as well as a front-facing 0.9MP camera as a secondary option. Typical for a Lumia device, the new 640 model is available in a variety of colors such as orange, white, matte black, and glossy cyan. Additionally, the phone is priced at an affordable rate; just like the other Lumia models before it. Apart from its color options, users will have to choose between a single and dual SIM card version along with a 3G or a 4G LTE model. The phone is available with a 2500 mAh battery that can help it last up to 26 hours of talk time and up to 36 days in standby mode.
