Former Sprint Customers Hit with Unnecessary Fees on T-Mobile Bills: Here's What to Do

Have you been keeping a close eye on your T-Mobile bill? It seems that some former Sprint customers who remained with T-Mobile after the merger have been encountering an unwarranted fee on their monthly statements.

According to a Reddit post, certain customers have been unknowingly paying a monthly fee for the Sprint Flex Lease program years after the merger. The Redditor, who is also a T-Mobile representative, advised customers to scrutinize their bills and speak with a representative to have the fee removed.

In the post, the Redditor stated:

“I see it every single day people coming in for upgrades and on sprint, and they were on a month to month lease program that they’re paying usually per line with no end day! It’s till the end of time! It can be removed with a press of a button. So go in-store and get your account features looked at.”

The Sprint Flex Lease program allowed customers to get a new phone at a low monthly rate, with payments continuing until the contract ended. To own the device outright, customers had to pay an additional fee on top of the monthly lease.

Prior to the merger, Sprint had already faced a class-action lawsuit over this program. Users alleged that Sprint deceived them into agreements with recurring fees, which continued even after the contract expired. The lawsuit also claimed that some customers were prevented from canceling the plan after their lease period ended.

If you were enrolled in this program, it's advisable to check your bill immediately.
